Beginners Luck

We were on the way to El Puertito with some snorkellers and Discover Scuba Divers this week when we spotted two juvenile Hammerhead sharks between 1m and 1.5m in length – a very rare sight in Tenerife. Naturally we paused on our journey to take a look and they seemed to have the same idea, circling the boat a couple of times.

Meanwhile our customers thought they were going to get a re-enactment of Jaws and were just a little nervous, so we continued our journey to Puertito where we again ran into the pair. Ray and Rhona have both been diving here for over 8 years and have never had such an encounter so the event was not lost on them at least.
